The meme above is a trite, meaningless, and likely a prosaic statement, generally directed at quelling social, political, religious, emotional, or cognitive unease. Platitudes present a shallow, unifying wisdom for those who merely support a vague idea or notion of what is being discussed. Like the meme posted above, they are one dimensional, overused, and too general to be anything more than vague sentiments often added by the meme’s poster, and those who like it, as an emotive extension of self, values, and moral superiority.

Because groupthink must be protected at all costs, any debate or challenge to the meme’s claim is not allowed to progress into an intelligent or logical conversation. Anyone who dares post details, facts or questions that may neutralize or contradict the meme’s “supposed” TRUTH, is immediately castigated as negative or someone who always has to be right.
